This device is my first gps device, and it has made my life so much easier, highways have never been easier to navigate, no more straining your neck to see the exit signs, missing your exit then having toi circle back and what not. While i have nothing to compare it to, aside from the google maps app on my blackberry, i have a couple of concerns
A) the device once in a while misjudges the distance, and by that time i've overshot the distance, but on the plus side, it quickly re-routes so not that big of an issue.
B)too many wires, the fm antenna, the power cable, and suction cup, the mount, all make my dash look really cluttered, which is sad since the device itslef is pretty smart looking.
but aside from that, exceptional quality of display, good response times generally, and a great 3d map mode, and what a value!
i would suggest you buy this refurbished for $109, actual value $300+ and buy the 3 yr extended warranty for $14, if you have any reservations about buying a refurbished product and that it might break down. cause let me tell you, when i opened my "refurbished" magella maestro... i could not tell at all...and i really pored over it to find some scratch or anything...there was nothing they even put that sticky screen cover on again. spotless and immaculate condition. except that it still had the previous owners addresses and phone numbers in it, which a simple device reset cured.Get more detail about Magellan Maestro 4370 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator (Factory Refurbished).
