The Nuvi 766T is a good performer and my 4th in-car navigation system, the previous 3 being two different models of Tom Tom and a built-in from Lexus.
Pros:
- System starts up quickly and acquires satellites well and in less than a minute typically
- Screen is bright and readable in all lighting conditions
- Lifetime traffic monitoring works well and re-routing / detours are intelligent and convenient
- Mounting and unmounting is quick and easy, making it very natural to bring the box with you
Cons:
- Battery in my unit is bad or inadequate since it shows "Low" even when freshly disconnected from car power. It works better when charged externally
- Touchscreen can occasionally be finicky and locate the touch on the wrong screen button
- Bluetooth speakerphone isn't really that great with low volume and so-so voice pickup
Overall I'm very pleased with the device and the map quality and "freshness" seem much better than the Tom Tom products. I managed to get about 40% off the retail price, which is about what I would pay again for the unit. Buy Buy Garmin Nuvi 765T Lowest Price, Order Now! [Click Here!]
